On 12/24/22 this couple was caught grabbing a purse and phone from an elderly lady who was visiting chinatown. The victim was using a assisted walker and happened to be a two steps away from her walker with the purse and phone.
Fortunately bystanders and relatives was able to follow the thieves and called police to have them arrested inside Maunakea Marketplace.
