Mentally ill individual who gets meals at River of Life attacked lei stand across Maunakea from River of Life. First he broke the just-planted tree by Char Hung Sut. Then he yanked up the post that was supporting the tree and stomped back toward ROL hitting cars with the post. Then slammed the post into the side of the lei stand. At any point, he could have severely injured a pedestrian or the lei stand workers. He was arrested(?) on Tuesday. On Thursday is back at the same location getting lunch from River of Life.
ROL attracts mentally unstable and violent people to Chinatown and can’t control them. It’s one reason why Chinatown people say No More Homeless Magnets in Chinatown!
