This homeless man was making a mess at TheBus Stop; even started arguing with ‘Cora’ the other homeless lady hanging around this busy N. Hotel St/ Maunakea St. bus stop. Bystanders were seeing guy going off.
Imagine trying to get on TheBus from this stop.
Called HPD at 10:00a; two officers arrived and talked to him for a few minutes which he flat out refuse to move. He swore and cussed at both officers. As I am observing this interaction, HPD comes up to me and asks me what I want; one officers said he gave him 1/2 hour to move. This was around 10:30a. I told the officers ok and if possible for them to come back later to check him later.
At 1:15p, no surprise, the homeless man is still there eating out of the trash, talking to himself while bus riders have to stand and watch their backs. TheBus Stop looks like a dump and smells really bad too. Doubt the HPD officers came back to check on him.
CW member also called and reported it to TheBus company’s customer service ‘oh it’s an island wide problem, we can let the City know and they will come out to powerwash the bus stop and he may come back’… Gee that sounds promising.
