These were his remarks:
“We believe Chinatown is a hidden gem with so much potential, that has been terribly neglected. We toured the area a few weeks ago to speak directly with the residents, business owners and stakeholders. Now we’ve made plans to make a new Chinatown that we can all be proud of. And we already have projects planned that will improve lighting, repave roadways and fix areas that are prone to flooding. I could say a lot more, but I want our actions to speak for themselves, and I’ll just simply leave it at that.”
What a sea change from Caldwell Admin mostly ignoring us, but once in a while making empty promises for a photo op. Our new Mayor and his team have made it a priority to work WITH our community to repair the damage and let Chinatown shine. Double happiness for Year of the Ox! Mahalo to Mayor Rick and his Team!
