Earlier today, HPD officers, walking alongside Chinatown’s Citizen Patrol weekly walk, stopped to address the couple inside a tent along N. Beretania St. (in front of the Smith Beretania Park, across from Honolulu Tower, 60 N. Beretania). The couple was advised to pack up and leave soon, sit/lie on public sidewalk and affixing their tent to a city property (park fencing).
HPD officers offered if they need social services and stated they will be back to ensure they have left.
